Welcome to Hillsboro High School (HHS) and our website.
The HHS mission is to create a collaborative learning environment where success is the only option. We realize that this is only possible through the active participation of all stakeholders in the educational process.
The goal of our website is to provide a complete overview of HHS. We want your experience to be informative, instructive, and interesting. We welcome your observations and suggestions to help us improve and enhance your online visit.
HHS, home to over 800 students and 75 certified and classified staff members, is the largest school in Highland County; we offer a wide variety of curricular and extra-curricular activities that challenge our students in multiple ways.
Our broad and comprehensive curriculum makes it possible for HHS students to prepare for the workplace or post-secondary study in many ways. We offer 5 Advanced Placement courses (Calculus, Government, Biology, English 12 and American History) and 11 Honors courses (English 9, 10 and 11, Geometry, Algebra II, Advanced Math, Integrated Science I, Biology, Chemistry, World History and American History). We also have a comprehensive vocational agriculture program that provides a solid foundation for a career in the farming industry. Our newest vocational program is Project Lead the Way. This is a pre-engineering program that encompasses a highly concentrated math and science curriculum designed to prepare students for the rigors and demands of higher education.
As you navigate our website, you will learn about the Hillsboro Indian community. Whether you are a parent, a student, a community member, or a visitor, we hope that you find our website helpful and useful. I encourage you to contact me or any of our staff members with your questions or suggestions.
